Inventor's tool to help users unfollow gains tech civil rights supporters
A university professor is seeking immunity under the Communications Decency Act to circulate a browser extension called "Unfollow Everything 2.0," but fears being sued by Meta Platforms.
The American Civil Liberties Union, Electronic Frontier Foundation, and the Center for Democracy and Technology have asked to weigh in on a professor's lawsuit against Meta Platforms that claims the company blocked release of a social media tool the plaintiff developed.
