Environmentalists' attempt to halt Sites Reservoir project is dismissed

The project is serving as something of a pilot for new laws streamlining the environmental approval process. Plaintiffs had claimed the environmental impact report was inadequate.

The environmental impact report for the Sites Reservoir, a $4 billion proposed off stream reservoir project in the Sacramento Valley, was deemed legally adequate by a California appeal court amid objections from environmental groups.
