A company that promoted an artificial intelligence tool claiming it could help consumers "sue for assault without a lawyer" has agreed to pay $193,000 and issue a consumer disclaimer to settle a Federal Trade Commission complaint. The settlement comes as part of the FTC's broader crackdown on businesses misusing AI technology to deceive the public.
