No sanction for attorney accused by Girardi's Secret Service acquaintance
Despite contentions from the former agent, Lorenzo Robert Savage III, that McLane Bednarski & Litt LLP partner David S. McClane included bad faith allegations against him based on a purported friendship with then-attorney Tom Girardi, the judge found McLane and his client had a reasonable basis to pursue the claims.




An attorney who accused a former U.S. Secret Service chief of taking a bribe from Tom Girardi in an effort to help his estranged wife, Erika, prosecute a fashion designer for credit card fraud will not be sanctioned for pursuing the case against the now-dismissed agent, a federal judge ruled.
