Judge upholds demurrer in luxury hotel v. affordable housing case
Los Angeles successfully demurred against claims that it unlawfully approved a luxury hotel project, leading to the demolition of affordable housing. Judge Chalfant ruled the complaint was not timely served on necessary parties.
The City of Los Angeles successfully demurred on Tuesday to claims that it unlawfully pushed through a luxury hotel development in Hollywood that would require the demolition of affordable housing units.
