DC judge issues stay of Trump's federal funds freeze
The Trump administration's order to temporarily freeze federal grants and loans has sparked a constitutional battle, with nonprofit groups and 22 Democratic state attorneys general filing lawsuits to block the action. Challengers in both cases avoided the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in favor of friendlier venues.
