San Francisco officials are reviving state legislation to crack down on street vendors to curb the resale of stolen goods.
A similar measure stalled last year due to cost concerns. The new effort seeks to refine previous legislation, which aimed to protect legitimate vendors but, according to supporters, inadvertently made it harder for police to question people selling shoplifted merchandise.
