Judge tosses most of lawsuit against California's climate disclosure laws
A federal judge has dismissed most of the U.S. Chamber of commerce's claims against California's climate disclosure laws, SB 253 and SB 261, but kept a First Amendment challenge alive. The laws mandate large companies to report greenhouse gas emissions and financial risks related to climate change.




A federal judge dismissed most of a lawsuit that challenged the constitutionality of two recent California laws related to how large companies in the state disclose greenhouse gas emissions and report on climate-related financial risks.
