Nob Hill's Stanford Court owners claim bank mismanaged iconic hotel

Owners of the historic Stanford Court Hotel countersued Deutsche Bank, claiming mismanagement during its possession, after defaulting on a $105 million loan.

A dispute between the owners of a $26 million historic San Francisco hotel and their lenders, Deutsche Bank, ratcheted up a notch as the owners countersued the bank after defaulting on a $105 million loan.

The hotel owners claim the bank was in full possession and control of the 400-room Stanford Court Hotel on Nob Hill and its finances from December 2022 to August 2024, rendering the borrowers unable to address the alleged defaults or claims of mismanaging the property.
