Terree Bowers, a partner in Arent Fox's Los Angeles office, has extensive experience in criminal, civil, and municipal law and previously served as the U.S. Attorney for the Central District of California and the Chief Deputy City Attorney for Los Angeles. His practice focuses on trial and appellate work in complex commercial litigation, white-collar criminal defense, government enforcement, securities fraud and regulatory matters, banking and financial institutions, civil rights actions, political corruption and campaign contribution issues, government contracting, health care fraud, and regulatory matters.

Mary Carter Andrues, a partner in Arent Fox's Los Angeles office, has over 14 years of trial experience and previously served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Central District of California, where she was Chief of the Public Corruption and Civil Rights Section; Deputy Chief of the Public Corruption and Government Fraud Section; and Health Care Fraud Coordinator. She defends clients in complex white-collar criminal matters involving U.S. export regulations, FCPA, health care fraud, False Claims Act, and government contract and procurement fraud.

Michael Farhang is a partner in Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher's litigation department, where he focuses on business crimes, securities, and complex commercial litigation matters. He previously served as a federal prosecutor with the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Central District of California, where he handled white-collar fraud investigations and prosecutions. He has significant trial experience, and has defended individual and corporate entities in a wide range of civil, criminal, and investigative matters.

Debra Wong Yang is a partner and executive committee member at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher in Los Angeles. She specializes in corporate crime and compliance. Ms. Yang has defended clients in DOJ, SEC, and State Attorneys General investigations, and has managed matters in the crisis arena relating to recalled products, health care, and insurance. She was a DOJ-appointed Monitor over an orthopedic-manufacturing company with health care compliance and regulatory issues. Ms. Yang has counseled clients on FCPA matters, overseen FCPA investigations, and reviewed FCPA compliance programs in numerous industries.

Jan Handzlik is a business crime defense lawyer in Greenberg Traurig's Los Angeles and San Francisco offices. He represents companies and individuals in financial fraud, securities enforcement, tax fraud, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, export controls, and environmental criminal atters. An experienced trial lawyer, Mr. Handzlik also conducts corporate internal investigations and designs law-compliance programs, frequently advising public companies on governance and controls. As an Assistant U.S. Attorney, he prosecuted federal fraud and corruption cases. For three years, he monitored a multinational company's FCPA compliance.

Mark Mermelstein, a partner in Orrick's Los Angeles office, is a member of the Litigation Group and the White Collar Criminal Defense and Corporate Investigations Group. Mr. Mermelstein's practice is oriented toward solving problems his individual or corporate clients have with the government, whether criminal or civil, federal or state, or as often arises, a combination. Previously, as a deputy public defender, Mr. Mermelstein served as lead trial attorney in 14 trials.
