When Christine Masters started focusing full-time on her career as a private neutral in 1998, she said she could count on one hand the number of other women working as mediators and arbitrators on employment cases.

“The legal industry has certainly had its share of discrimination problems and lack of diversity,” Masters said. “And it was definitely time for women, people of color to join the ranks of neutrals.”
