Don't Expect Withdrawing Plaintiffs to Pick Up Attorney Fees, Court Says

If someone files a lawsuit just to intimidate you and quickly withdraws it, don't count on getting your attorney fees paid.

      If someone files a lawsuit just to intimidate you and quickly withdraws it, don't count on getting your attorney fees paid.
      That was the message Monday from the California Supreme Court, which unanimously held that a withdrawing plaintiff should not have to pay fees if an anti-SLAPP motion has not yet been filed.
