From His Father's Footstool to State Appellate Bench

SAN FRANCISCO - There appears to be a judicial gene in the family of William R. McGuiness. McGuiness' father, William J. McGuiness, became a Municipal Court judge in Alameda County in 1950. His brother, Robert D. McGuiness, was sworn in as an Alameda County Superior Court judge in January. His sister-in-law, Yolanda N. Northridge, also is on the Alameda bench.
