Court Won't Hear Tobacco Case
WASHINGTON - The U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday turned back a challenge by two tobacco companies to California's Proposition 99, which imposed a 25-cents-per-pack tax on cigarette sales, portions of which are used to fund anti-smoking commercials.
