From His Father's Footstool To the State Appellate Bench
SAN FRANCISCO - There appears to be a judicial gene in the family of William R. McGuiness. His father, William J. McGuiness, became a municipal court judge in Alameda County in 1950. His brother, Robert, was sworn in as an Alameda County Superior Court judge in January. His sister-in-law, Yolanda Northridge, is also on the Alameda bench.
