His supposed autobiography, "A Million Little Pieces," originally was published in 2003 and told what was claimed to be the true story of Frey's years as an alcoholic, drug addict and criminal. The paperback edition was published in August 2005 and received Oprah Winfrey's seal of approval in October. That's when Frey hit the publishing jackpot.
