Blood Test Does Not Infringe Patent, Jury Finds

SAN DIEGO - A test developed by Gen-Probe Inc. that collection centers use to screen more than 70 percent of donated blood in the United States does not infringe on a similar patent held by a company with which Gen-Probe has a licensing arrangement, a federal court jury has found.
