Tactics Endangering Businesses, Companies Claim

SAN FRANCISCO - Lawyers for beleaguered file-sharing software companies Grokster Inc. and StreamCast Networks have accused the entertainment industry of pushing the companies to financial ruin through "abusive" legal tactics. They have asked a federal judge to intervene by streamlining the litigation process in the copyright suit brought by members of the Motion Picture Association of America and the Recording Industry Association of America.
