Another Sacramento icon, state legislative counsel Bion Gregory joined the Sacramento office of Nossaman Guthner Knox & Elliot May 1. Gregory, 61, retired from public service late last year after more than 25 years as the chief counsel to the state Legislature. There, he managed a staff of 85 lawyers and was responsible for drafting legislation and writing opinions.
