DA Wants Court To Reverse Ruling

LOS ANGELES - Prosecutors will ask the state Supreme Court to reverse a lower court's ruling that grand juries cannot indict minors. Deputy District Attorney Matthew Monforton, of the office's appellate division, said Wednesday that within the next few weeks he will ask the Supreme Court to reverse the 2nd District Court of Appeal's Aug. 10 finding in a highly publicized case involving Proposition 21, the state's tough juvenile justice law.
