SAN JOSE - In a ruling that could have a significant effect at metropolitan police departments nationwide, a panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled in favor of six disabled police officers who claim that a San Jose police department policy violates the Americans with Disabilities Act.
