Fired LAPD Staffer Gets $3.75 Million
LOS ANGELES - Opting not to appeal a jury verdict, the Los Angeles City Council voted Tuesday to pay $3.75 million in a settlement to a former Los Angeles Police Department payroll employee who was fired after giving testimony unfavorable to the department in a lawsuit filed by officers seeking back wages.
