Poll: Lawyers Want the Right to Elect Board

California lawyers overwhelmingly believe they should keep the right to elect most of the members of the State Bar Board of Governors. Nearly three-fourths of the 400-plus respondents to an informal fax poll published in the Daily Journal last month said they disagree with Gov. Pete Wilson's position that lawyers should not be allowed to elect bar board members.
