Dead or Alive, State Bar Would Be a Shadow of Its Former Self

SACRAMENTO - Although the State Bar reform-dues proposal was reported dead early Monday afternoon by Assemblyman Robert Hertzberg, subsequent developments indicate the deal may still be alive and that Gov. Pete Wilson would sign a bill along these lines.
