VENTURA - Those who say law has gone to the dogs have never met Violet and Edith - the Perry Masons of puppies. Violet and Edith, you see, are guide dogs, and their trainer is a prosecutor in the Ventura County district attorney's office who volunteers to raise them until they're ready to help the blind.
