Conservative judges denounce 9th Circuit habeas grant
The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has declined en banc review of a granted habeas writ despite heated protests from a portion of the court's conservative wing, who claim the ruling "will let a confessed murderer walk."

The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has declined en banc review of a granted habeas writ despite heated protests from a portion of the court's conservative wing, who claim the ruling "will let a confessed murderer walk."
A majority of 9th Circuit judges voted not to revisit a decision from August 2015 ordering the defendant to be retried or released.
