Google wins defense verdict in patent case

Google Inc. has defeated a lawsuit that alleged the Mountain View-based company infringed patents related to data transmission.

Google Inc. has defeated a lawsuit that alleged the Mountain View-based company infringed patents related to data transmission.

The jury verdict, reached Monday in the Eastern District of Texas, is a victory in an ongoing patent battle Google has had with SimpleAir Inc., an inventor-owned technology licensing company based in Plano, Texas, according to its website.
