Timeshare developers drop bill after key provision removed

An organization representing timeshare developers has dropped its sponsorship of a bill limiting access to owner access to membership contact lists.

An organization representing timeshare developers has dropped its sponsorship of a bill limiting owner access to membership contact lists.

AB 634 sought to address a 2010 court ruling that shook the industry. The group killed the bill after it was amended to undercut companies' ability to decide that constituted a "reasonable" use of the lists.
