Bill would offer post-conviction relief in deportation cases

A bill now in the state Senate would provide relief for people who want to challenge the validity of their convictions — years later, in many instances. It would offer an avenue for both those who were wrongfully convicted and defendants who were not informed of the immigration implications of their cases.
