VW settlement gets preliminary approval from SF judge

A San Francisco federal judge granted preliminary approval Tuesday of a nearly $15 billion settlement in a lawsuit accusing Volkswagen AG of scheming to dodge government-mandated emissions testing by rigging hundreds of thousands of its new cars.
