AG scores $600,000 settlement in Prop. 65 case

The California attorney general's office reached a settlement Monday with the makers of a popular hair smoothing cream.

The California attorney general's office reached a settlement Monday with the makers of a popular hair smoothing cream over allegations they lied by saying their products were formaldehyde-free.

The agreement calls for Los Angeles-based GIB LLC, which makes Brazilian Blowout, to pay $600,000 in penalties and legal fees and to change its labeling and offer customer refunds.
