Los Angeles Superior Court will begin laying off 329 employees April 1, according to a memo sent to court staff Friday. The memo, sent by Executive Officer John Clark, pushed back the date of layoffs, which the court previously said would be in March. Court officials have been predicting layoffs for months, in light of a $79.3 million fiscal year budget deficit that is expected to grow to $140 million by 2013.
