Judge Reinstates Autism Treatments

A state-run mental health center must reinstate popular autism treatments for nearly 200 children despite crippling budget cuts, a Superior Court judge has ruled.

LOS ANGELES - A state-run mental health center must reinstate certain autism treatments for nearly 200 children despite crippling budget cuts, a Superior Court judge has ruled.

The preliminary injunction approved by Judge Anthony J. Mohr Monday bars the Eastern Los Angeles Regional Center from terminating treatments called "DIR" services until he decides on the class action. <...
