SAN FRANCISCO - The mother of a young woman who died after using a popular birth-control patch sued the pharmaceutical company and its distributor, San Francisco-based McKesson Corp., on Wednesday, contending the companies deceived customers about the drug's risk of side effects, including blood clots and other serious disorders.
