Lawyer Wins Election for L.A. Superior Court Commissioner

Sherman Oaks attorney Michael Convey was elected a Los Angeles Superior Court commissioner Aug. 16. Convey, an attorney with Silva, Clasen & Raffalow, won the runoff election against court referee Guillermina Byrne. Convey fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Commissioner Ernest Lopez. Byrne, who lost a runoff election to Richard Novak in June, is once again in the running for a commissioner seat.
