Council Rejects Bid to Fill Goldberg Vacancy

LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles City Council on Tuesday turned aside an attempt to fill promptly a vacancy of one of the 15 council seats. Former City Councilwoman Jackie Goldberg's recent election to the state Assembly created the vacancy in Council District 13, which includes Hollywood. Goldberg represents the 45th Assembly District.
