Hung Jury in Controversial Case

SAN FRANCISCO - A hung jury was declared Monday in the trial of a Bernal Heights man accused of murdering his girlfriend. District Attorney Terence Hallinan received criticism in 1999 for not charging the alleged assailant after police arrested him twice previously on domestic violence charges.
