Straits of Ignorance

Recently, I was invited to Cuba to do a Web presentation for a joint conference hosted by Cuba's National Union of Cuban Jurists and the Washington, D.C., World Jurist Association. During this trip, I realized that misinformation on both sides of the Straits of Florida has kept most Americans outside of a loop that - prior to the Elian Gonzalez affair - had been limited primarily to the Miami-Havana corridor.
