Broadcom Corp. has agreed to purchase VisionTech Ltd. The deal is valued at $777 million. Irvine's Broadcom makes integrated circuits that enable broadband communications. Its products are designed for cable set-top boxes, cable modems, digital subscriber line technology, satellite and terrestrial broadcasting, home networking and wireless communications. Motorola Inc., 3Com Corp., Samsung Corp. and Cisco Systems Inc. are customers.
