Defense Department Wastes Billions Every Year

The Department of Defense wastes billions of taxpayer dollars each year on a corrupt procurement and acquisition system that is riddled with fraud, waste and abuse. The Pentagon's financial records are in such utter disarray that no one knows what America's military spends or even owns. We cannot estimate the costs of new weapons or how much would be saved by cutting wasteful military programs.
