Two Judges Named for San Mateo

SAN JOSE - Two San Mateo County government attorneys were appointed Wednesday to the Superior Court bench by Gov. Gray Davis. Jonathan E. Karesh, a 10-year veteran of the county district attorney's office, and Beth Labson Freeman, a deputy county counsel since 1983, both were hailed as outstanding and experienced attorneys by District Attorney James Fox.
