O'Melveny scores patent trial win against Synopsys

O'Melveny & Myers LLP secured a $36 million verdict for Oregon-based client Mentor Graphics Corp. on Friday in a patent trial against Mountain View-based Synopsys Inc. The federal jury found Synopsys and its subsidiaries were liable for infringing a Mentor Graphics patent that covers methods of testing computer chip designs.
