Irell & Manella LLP secured two favorable decisions for client Tessera Inc. last week in a multi-venue patent dispute against Amkor Technology Inc.
On Friday, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office's Patent Trial and Appeal Board confirmed 14 claims of a Tessera semiconductor packaging patent were valid. Amkor challenged Tessera's patent under the inter partes review procedure authorized by the America Invents Act.
