Twisting and turning, defect suit frustrates judge, spins through web of lawyers
The long-running construction defect suit was brought by Santa Monica attorney Fred Adelman and Kristen Whitney, whose Watermill Flying Point Trust bought the $5.7 million Brentwood villa at issue in 2009.

LOS ANGELES - Earlier this week, Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge William A. MacLaughlin dismissed jurors for a weeklong hiatus in the trial of a lawsuit brought by attorney Fred M. Adelman against the broker and builder that he claims sold him a poorly built Brentwood home.
While jurors waited outside the court, MacLaughlin could barely contain his frustration with the attorneys present. ...
