LA to vote on county counsel

The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors will vote whether to hire the current county treasurer as the new county counsel Tuesday.

The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors will vote whether to hire a new county counsel Tuesday, as at least one board member blasted the hiring process.


The county's treasurer and tax collector, Mark Saladino, is the lone candidate. He would replace former County Counsel John Krattli, who retired in July. Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas said Monday he feels a "substantial unreadiness"...
