Senate confirms last 9th Circuit nominee
The Senate confirmed Arizona Supreme Court Justice Andrew D. Hurwitz to join the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in a voice vote Tuesday.

WASHINGTON -- The Senate confirmed Arizona Supreme Court Justice Andrew D. Hurwitz to join the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in a voice vote Tuesday. The confirmation comes a day after Democrats defeated a Republican filibuster, clearing the way for Hurwitz to get an up-or-down vote on his nomination.
