Lawsuit filed over San Jose pension reform initiative

Filed by the San Jose Police Officers' Association, the suit alleges the "Sustainable Retirement Benefits and Compensation Act" makes considerable changes in a contracted agreement between the city and police officers.

A major public employee union filed a lawsuit Wednesday claiming a ballot measure supported Tuesday by San Jose voters violates state law.


Filed by the San Jose Police Officers' Association, the suit alleges that the "Sustainable Retirement Benefits and Compensation Act" makes considerable and unlawful changes in a contracted agreement between the city and police officers.
