Judge rejects defense motions in price-fixing trial

A San Francisco federal judge on Wednesday rejected motions for acquittal and a new trial filed by Taiwan-based liquid crystal display panel maker AU Optronics Corp., its American subsidiary and several executives, all convicted on charges of price-fixing.
