Judges group struggles with membership, leadership

The California Judges Association has lost 250 judges since 2009 as it struggles to remain relevant and form strong leadership positions despite the myriad views by its members on key issues affecting the courts.

A statewide association that has represented the interests of California judges for more than 83 years appears to be shedding members due in part to a growing schism among its ranks.
