WASHINGTON - Los Angeles litigator Paul J. Watford won confirmation to the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Monday, hours after Republicans assented to a simple up-or-down vote on his nomination.
The Senate approved the 44-year-old Watford on a 61-34 vote.
